LOOK: Rajai Davis forgets jersey, wears bench coach Gene Lamont's
Tigers outfielder Rajai Davis forgot his jersey for Saturday's road trip. He had to wear bench coach Gene Lamont's instead.
The Tigers are playing a pair of split squad games Saturday -- half the team is home playing the Phillies and the other half is on the road playing the Yankees. Outfielder Rajai Davis drew the short straw and is one of the regulars on the road trip, and thanks to all the traveling and packing, he apparently forgot his jersey.
So, instead of playing the game with his usual "DAVIS 20" jersey, Davis is wearing bench coach Gene Lamont's jersey for this afternoon's game. Lamont wears No. 22. Here's photo evidence:

The broadcast didn't have a better angle, so that one will have to do. You can clearly see the jersey does not say Davis or No. 20, however. Also, it looks like Rajai has a little more room in the midseason than usual.
Lamont is serving as the club's manager for the split squad game. He's sitting next to the dugout in a Tigers windbreaker.
UPDATE: Someone brought Davis his jersey! Here he is at the plate in his second at-bat of the game:

Either someone brought it from the Tigers' spring training home in Lakeland or they found it at the bottom of an equipment bag somewhere.
