Angels reliever Kevin Jepsen (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment early next week, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Jepsen has been out since April 12 due to a strained right shoulder. He resumed throwing from a mound last week and has not suffered any setbacks.

The Angels are hoping to get Jepsen back by the end of May.

Jepsen hasn't played since April 13 after straining his pitching shoulder.
