| Snider in mix to start in left field: According to MLB.com, Blue Jays OF Travis Snider is in the mix to start in left field in 2012 even though Eric Thames got the majority of the starts there down the stretch in 2011. | Snider ended the 2011 season with tendinitis in his right wrist, which is part of the reason why he didn't make a return trip to the big leagues in September. Still, another split season between the majors and the minors isn't an encouraging sign for the former first-round pick, who now has 799 career big-league at-bats. He hit an impressive .327 at Triple-A Las Vegas, but with only four homers in 248 at-bats, suggesting he's still not quite a finished product. At age 23, he still has time to salvage his career, but you shouldn't target him as more than a late-round pick in 2012, especially since he isn't even guaranteed a starting job.
