| McDonald stumbles again : Pirates SP James McDonald struggled through his second straight start on Saturday night as he was roughed up by the Dodgers. He gave up five earned runs on seven hits in three innings of work. McDonald struck out three batters and issued two walks, but would give up two homers. The Dodgers would go on to win the game, 6-1. | McDonald fell to 9-9 on the year and owns a lackluster 4.28 ERA. He'll face the Reds in his next outing, which falls on Saturday in Week 25 (Sept. 19-28). In four outings versus Cincinnati this year McDonald has gone 2-1 with a 3.86 ERA. Despite his success against the Reds this season, Fantasy owners should view McDonald as a low-end pitching option.
