Astros starter Bud Norris was pitching extremely well Monday night at home against Chicago. That is until the sixth inning.

Norris gave up an RBI single to Paul Konerko and then allowed a bases-clearing triple to Dayan Viciedo, as the White Sox plated four runs in the sixth. Norris finished the six innings but took the loss to fall to 5-7 on the season.

He gave up four earned runs on eight hits and no walks with four strikeouts over his six frames. He threw 99 pitches and his ERA is 3.64 following the loss.

Norris has lost three straight outings but had quality starts in his previous two. He makes his next start Saturday in Chicago against the Cubs.

Astros starter Bud Norris turned in a solid outing but was outdueled by Aaron Harang Tuesday night against the Mariners.

Harang pitched a complete game shutout. Norris (5-6) was charged with three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six in seven innings pitched in a 4-0 loss. He threw 94 pitches, 63 for strikes.

Norris has allowed three runs or fewer in all but two of his 14 starts this season. He is scheduled to make his next start Monday at home against the White Sox. He is 3-2 with a 2.28 ERA in eight starts at home.

There have been no in-depth discussions for Norris but the Astros are rebuilding and may be interested in moving Norris for young talent.Norris has a 3.43 ERA and a 3.69 FIP in 76 innings. 

Astros starting pitcher Bud Norris tossed his fourth quality start in a row Thursday against the Orioles, but it was not enough to stave off his fifth loss of the season.

Norris allowed plenty of hits in the game, as the Orioles rapped out nine on him, but only two of them went for extra-bases. He held Baltimore to just three runs in seven innings of work, while walking one batter and striking out seven.

Norris earned the loss in a 3-1 game, to drop his record to 5-5 on the season. He has a 3.43 ERA in 13 starts. He is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Mariners in Seattle.
