by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

Yankees right fielder Carlos Beltran continued his assault on big-league pitching on Saturday. After hitting a pinch-hit, three-run home run on Friday, Beltran homered in his very next at-bat in the first inning on Saturday. His solo home run gave the Yankees an early 1-0 lead, as they went on to beat the Blue Jays 4-1.

The home run was Beltran's 12th of the season, and his fifth in 20 games since returning from the disabled list just after the All-Star break.

Beltran, who also chipped in a double in the game, now owns a 10-game hit streak, during which he is batting .375 (12 for 32).
