Cubs outfielder David DeJesus has a right shoulder sprain. 

DeJesus was put on the disabled list Saturday, and an MRI revealed a shoulder sprain. There is no timetable for his recovery at this time. DeJesus is hitting .260/.318/.445 in 200 at-bats. 

Cubs outfielder David DeJesus, who left Friday's game due to a right shoulder injury, will land on the 15-day disabled list, ESPN reports. He underwent an X-ray after Friday's game against the Mets and the corresponding roster move has not yet been made.

DeJesus hit a bases-clearing triple in the second inning of Friday's game before getting hurt. He crashed into the wall to sprain his shoulder. There is no timetable for his return at the moment. 

"It felt like I ran into the wall and my shoulder just went the other way. It's a tough one," DeJesus said. "It was just like the pressure didn't want to stop. We'll see." 

Cubs outfielder David DeJesus was forced out of Friday's game against the Mets in the third inning with a right shoulder injury.

DeJesus ran into the outfield wall in the third inning. He hit a bases-clearing triple in the second inning and finished 1 for 2 with three RBI before he was replaced by Ryan Sweeney. DeJesus will undergo X-rays on his right shoulder following the game.

Cubs outfielder David DeJesus is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Reds.

The Reds are throwing lefty Tony Cingrani, so DeJesus will sit. DeJesus has been utilized in a platoon role this season and typically doesn't face lefties. Ryan Sweeney will replace DeJesus and hit eighth.

With righty Mike Leake on the mound Wednesday, DeJesus should return.

With a lefty on the mound, DeJesus will sit. Ryan Sweeney will get the start in center and hit ninth. DeJesus may return Saturday to face A.J. Burnett. He's hitting .275/.338/.455 this season.
