Troy Tulowitzki hits fifth double of season for Rockies
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

Troy Tulowitzki hit his MLB-leading fifth double of the season in the Rockies' 5-1 win over the Cubs on Friday. The Rockies improved to 4-0 for the first time in 20 years.

"This team is a little bit different. I would like to think we are a little bit tougher," Tulowitzki said, per the Denver Post. "There is something about this group. I can get on them harder than I have teams in the past. They listen, they respond and they take it to heart. They aren't soft. It's a tough bunch, and I'm enjoying it."

Tulowitzki went two for four with two RBI.

Rockies SS Troy Tulowitzki impressed by the team's doubles
by Dave Peters | CBSSports.com

When Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki  was asked about the team's 12 doubles hit through two games, he told the Denver Post, "Pretty cool.” The team's 12 doubles through two games marked the first time that has happened since the 1912 New York Giants.

“What sticks out to me when I hear that, is that I’m really happy that it’s on the road. The first thing we would hear if we were at home was about how it’s a hitter’s ballpark, and they are at home, so that’s why all the doubles. So wait until they go on the road.”

The shortstop, who went two for five with one RBI in the team's 5-2 win over the Brewers, was asked about the team's 2-0 record.

“What does it mean? It means we are 2-0. And tomorrow we have a chance to sweep. We keep hearing that we are not a good team on the road, so we can keep answering some critics about us not being a good road team.”
