Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki: Making big strides heading toward home stretch of 2016
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Tulowitzki went 6-for-21 with a homer, four RBI and an .810 OPS in last week's road trip out west.

In his last 25 games, Tulowitzki is 31-for-101 with eight homers and 24 RBI. He is hitting .307 in that span with an OPS of .939. The numbers are good but they don't tell the whole story. The shortstop's body language at the plate speaks almost as loudly. He is aggressive and selective at the same time. Hardly an at-bat goes by that Tulowitzki doesn't hit at least one ball hard, whether it's a hit, an out or a loud foul ball. The window of opportunity to buy low on the veteran seems to be closed. At the same time, owners shouldn't rule out a chance to sell high on the oft-injured Tulowitzki.

Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki: Launches two-run blast Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Tulowitzki went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Sunday at the Athletics.

Tulowitzki's 16th blast of the year gave the Jays a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning of a game they'd eventually win. He's now hit safely in 11 of 13 games this month, moving his slash line to .239/.313/.459 on the season.

Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki: Eyeing big finish to 2016 regular season
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Tulowitzki finished the first half of 2016 hitting .239/.315/.453 with 15 homers and 43 RBI in 247 at-bats.

The injury-prone shortstop made one pit stop to the DL for a quad injury from late-May to mid-June, but the break actually seemed to be the best thing for him. Tulowitzki was downright awful before the injury (.204), and has been stroking since returning (.313) -- which means it's legitimate to believe that part of Tulowitzki's early-season struggles were due to the ailment. Historically, throughout his 10-year career, the 31-year-old has been a better hitter in the second half of the season (.306/.380/.523) opposed to before the break (.285/.357/.493). Assuming he stays healthy, Tulowitzki is just too good not to even out his stat line by season's end, meaning the two-time Silver Slugger could be in for a big second half.

Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki: Drives in three Thursday to beat Tigers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Tulowitzki went 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Tigers.

The shortstop's two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth lifted the Jays to a thrilling comeback victory, and gave the 31-year-old 43 RBI on the season. In the 17 games since returning from the DL on June 18, Tulowitzki has turned his season around by hitting .328 (22-for-67) with seven home runs and 20 RBI. His average it up to a season-high .239 and his fantasy value is also sitting at its highest point of the year.

Blue Jays' Troy Tulowitzki: Clubs 14th homer in Sunday's rout
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Tulowitzki went 3-for-5 with his 14th home run of the season and four RBI in Sunday's 17-1 rout of the Indians.

He's been on fire since coming off the DL, going 17-for-53 (.321) in 13 games with six homers, 14 RBI and eight runs scored. Tulowitzki's had a rough go of it since getting traded to Toronto last season, but it looks like he plans on making up for lost time in the second half.
