Timberwolves' Brandon Rush: Signs one-year deal with Timberwolves
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rush agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Timberwolves on Wednesday, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports.

Rush is coming of a 2015-16 campaign with the Warriors where he averaged just 15 minutes per game, while also recording 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds over 72 outings. He'll remain a depth option by coming over to the Timberwolves, but is a versatile piece for them, as he'll be able to play both shooting guard and small forward at times. Rush provides the Timberwolves with someone who can the hit the deep ball consistently, as he shot a solid 41 percent from deep this past season, while he can also step up and play strong on the defensive side of the ball as well.

Warriors' Brandon Rush: Inactive for Game 5
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rush will be inactive for Game 5 against the Thunder on Thursday, Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Rush was made inactive just before Game 5 in favor of James Michael McAdoo. In the first four games of the Western Conference Finals Rush played a combined 23 minutes, scoring four points and recording nine rebounds. The change is likely due to the Warriors trying to change things up as they face a 3-1 series deficit. Rush's absence shouldn't impact anybody's minutes much on Thursday, and it's unclear if he'll remain inactive if the series goes to a Game 6.

Warriors' Brandon Rush: Hasn't played in last three games
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Rush (coach's decision) didn't play in Monday's 108-102 Game 1 loss to the Thunder.

With Stephen Curry (knee) returning to action for the Warriors' last three postseason games, Rush has lost out on his rotation spot. While Rush still figures to see the court in blowouts, the veteran swingman won't log enough minutes to make a fantasy impact.

Warriors' Brandon Rush: Scores 15 points in 18 minutes during Game 5 blowout win
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Rush recorded 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, and one assist in 18 minutes during the Warriors' 114-81 win against the Rockets in Wednesday's Game 5.

Harrison Barnes, who shot below 30 percent from the field during the playoff series, was struggling once again Wednesday, so head coach Steve Kerr inserted Rush into the game for an extended stretch in the first half and he responded with energy and buckets. That stint bought him more playing time in the second half. Rush finished the first round of the postseason averaging five minutes less per contest than he saw in the regular season. Rush did not appear in Game 3, and played three and four minutes respectively in Game's 1 and 4. The Warriors' bench is arguably the best in the NBA, and Rush has to work hard for every one of his minutes. Through four games in round one, Rush averaged 4.5 points (53.8 FG, 40.0 3Pt) and 1.3 rebounds in nine minutes.

Warriors' Brandon Rush: Returns to action Wednesday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Brandon Rush returned to action Wednesday after missing one game with a bruised right knee. He played nine scoreless minutes in an overtime win over Utah.

With Andre Iguodala still nursing a hamstring injury, Rush had been averaging about 19 minutes in the eight games prior to his injury, but barely had enough to get his heart rate up against the Jazz. Like most of the Golden State Warriors ' close encounters with a loss, Wednesday's meant the starting backcourt got elevated minutes and Rush was at the back end of the rotation, where playing time varies.
