With the 26th pick in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select University of Central Florida wide receiver Breshad Perriman.

CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco likes the pick: Perriman -- B+ They need speed outside in the worst way and this kid can fly. He just needs to be more consistent.

Like 2014, this wide receiver draft class is deep. And while Perriman wasn't often mentioned in the same breath as Amari Cooper or Kevin White, he's arguably more explosive. At 6-2, 212 pounds, he's also a big downfield target, who has drawn comparisons to Josh Gordon. Except Perriman, who ran a 4.26 40 at his pro day, is faster. The biggest question about Perriman isn't physical, it's his lack of polish (and that, more than anything, is what separates him from Cooper).

Still, there are roles for young wideouts even as they learn the nuances of route-running, setting up defenders and reading defenses, and it's safe to assume that new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman will find favorable matchups for Perriman in 2015.

The Ravens could have also targeted a cornerback, but the top prospects went off the board earlier in the round. Now quarterback Joe Flacco has a big target to replace Torrey Smith, who signed with the 49ers this offseason.

More on Perriman from NFLDraftScout.com's Rob Rang and Dane Brugler: "[He] possesses the tools to make tough, acrobatic catches with his large soft hands. Can track the football and snatch it at its highpoint. A good runner after the catch who is able to big up big chunks of yardage." And perhaps more importantly: "Perriman demonstrated excellent chemistry with his quarterbacks. In his breakout season of 2013, Blake Bortles was under center for the Knights and Perriman built on his sophomore success and improved his production playing with Justin Holman his junior year."
