Following the Panthers Super Bowl 50 loss, players from the Denver Broncos weren't scared to bash Cam Newton. Some players said he plays for himself.

One player's trash talk may have caused Cam to leave his press conference.

Most of the public comments from Denver players focused on Cam not wanting to dive on a fumble, like the slew of Broncos defenders who trashed him to Mike Silver of NFL.com.

"If he would have touched that ball, I was gonna hit him right in his face, and I wasn't the only one," safety T.J. Ward said. "We were hungry for that one. We saw that ball and it was like hyenas on an antelope.

"And I don't know -- maybe he needed to stay healthy for next year."

Ouch. The idea of playing for next year in the middle of the Super Bowl is about as crushing a blow as you can deliver.

Cornerback Chris Harris didn't take it much easier on Cam, asking in shock why the Panthers thought they would run the ball and then proceeded to call Cam "scared" and "blind."

"Cam was scared to throw it. He looked blind," Harris said. "He couldn't figure out where to throw. That's what pressure does, man."

Another corner -- the outspoken Aqib Talib -- said there would be "no dancing" from Newton and that the Panthers have "a simple offense."

"No dancing," Talib said. "He had danced enough. No way he was gonna tear us up. We're too smart for him.

"They really have a simple offense. They come out in a bunch of different formations that they shift around, and they run one or two plays out of them. If you can figure out the formations, what they do is really simple. We knew he wasn't gonna come out and tear us up. We knew all their looks."

It's fairly obvious the Broncos read a lot of press about Newton's abilities to defeat any defense and their inability to stop him before the game. And it's fairly clear all the talk about them falling short didn't sit well with them.

The result was a lot of Broncos defenders taking it out on Newton after a decisive win.
