Jerry Jones, Jason Garrett seem skeptical of McFadden's iPhone story
Darren McFadden's iPhone story, in which he suffered a broken elbow, is almost too crazy to believe
Just hours before the Dallas Cowboys held their first session of minicamp this week, coach Jason Garrett delivered some interesting news about Darren McFadden: The running back suffered a broken elbow over Memorial Day weekend.
The most surprising part of the injury is how it happened. As running backs coach Gary Brown explains it, McFadden suffered the injury while trying to save his iPhone from a big fall.
"He was trying to keep his iPhone S, his brand new one, from hitting the ground and cracked his elbow,'' Brown said on Tuesday.
Millions of people have manage drop a phone and save it without breaking their elbow, which begs the question: Is McFadden's story believable?
There's been some great injury stories in NFL history that all didn't turn out to be true. For instance, back in October 2014, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said that DeAngelo Hall tore his Achilles while walking through the kitchen looking for pizza. As it turned out, that story wasn't completely accurate.
So do the Cowboys believe McFadden's story?
The most important person in the organization does, or at least that's what he's saying.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Wednesday that he'll "accept" McFadden's story, although he didn't seem completely convinced.
"He's such a pro and has gained the respect that I take him just as he said it. That phone had to be saved. I accept that," Jones said, via the Cowboys' official website.
Although Garrett didn't go into details about the injury on Tuesday, he did talk about it on Wednesday and didn't exactly seem sold on McFadden's story.
"It's hard to explain that," Garrett said of the injury. "I'm sure he didn't think the choice was 'OK, I'm going to keep the cell phone or break my elbow.' I think he thought he could make the play. I don't know much about it beyond that."
Garrett was then asked by a reporter for more details. "You'll have to ask him," he replied.
McFadden has a base salary of $1.25 million in 2016, which really makes you wonder why he didn't just let the phone drop. Broken phones are way less painful than broken elbows.
