Vikings fans tailgate in 20 below zero weather, use fire to keep beer from freezing
You can't say Vikings fans weren't excited for their game against the Colts
The Vikings' new stadium is covered -- by a bird-killing roof -- so fans don't have to brave the wintry conditions to watch their team host the Colts on Sunday. Unfortunately, fans are not allowed to tailgate inside the stadium, which means they either had to skip tailgating altogether or stand outside in the snow, use a fire to prevent their beer from freezing, and try not to die from the 20 below zero temperature.
They chose the second option.
Brutal COLD: -18°/wind chill -35° & the only way to stay warm at the @Vikings tailgate is with propane heaters & a hot breakfast. #baconpic.twitter.com/MugznPZtBf

It looked like Hoth:
They really did use fire to prevent their beer from melting.
It's so COLD at the @Vikings tailgate in (-20°... wind chill -34°) that they're using fire to keep the beer from freezing. #greatwhitenorthpic.twitter.com/QjIEWgBO76

The best part? This isn't even the strangest tailgate of the Vikings' season.
That honor still belongs to the time a fan beheaded a live fish with his teeth.
