Chiefs' Dontari Poe: Active Week 7
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dontari Poe (ankle) is active Sunday against the Steelers, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.

Good news for the Kansas City Chiefs as they try to slow down Le'Veon Bell and the Steelers rushing attack. If Poe needs a little more rest than usual during the game, Jaye Howard would likely rotate in at nose tackle.

Chiefs' Dontari Poe: Limited participant Thursday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dontari Poe (ankle) was limited again at practice Thursday.

Poe was expected to miss a few weeks with a high ankle sprain, but his limited participation in practice both Wednesday and Thursday at least provides a chance that he'll return Sunday. However, he may need to get in a full session before rejoining the lineup.

Report: Chiefs TE Dontari Poe likely out a few weeks
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Dontari Poe will likely miss a few weeks with a high ankle sprain, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.

Poe's injury likely occurred at some point during Sunday's game, and it appears the issue will keep him out for a couple games. In his place, Jaye Howard will likely receive a larger portion of the reps at nose tackle.

Chiefs' Reid: Dontari Poe (back) might be ready for season opener
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com

Chiefs Pro Bowl nose tackle Dontari Poe has returned to practice on a limited basis and might be ready for the season opener Sunday against the Texans, coach Andy Reid said Monday.

Poe has been sidelined since undergoing surgery July 15 to have a herniated disc removed from his back.

“He’s on schedule to possibly have the opportunity to play against the Texans,’’ Reid said, per ESPN. “We’ll just have to see how he does once he get the pads on on Wednesday.

“He says he feels good. He felt good after [Sunday’s] work. We’ll see how it goes, take it day by day.’’
