| Hughes joins the Giants: The Giants have signed cornerback Dante Hughes to replace cornerback Brian Witherspoon, who tore his ACL for the second time in as many years on Wednesday. Witherspoon was waived/injured. Hughes spent two seasons with the Colts and three with the Chargers before trying out at the Giants rookie mini-camp two weeks ago. Hughes' best season came last year when he had 42 tackles and three passes defensed for the Chargers. (Updated 5/24/12) |
