After a three-day tryout over their minicamp, the Jets signed veteran tight end Kellen Winslow. He reportedly looked good in early workouts and gave the Jets' quarterbacks a reliable short-area receiving option.

The Jets have tight end Kellen Winslow in for a tryout as they go through a week's worth of minicamp practices. ESPN noted Winslow looked good in early workouts, basically playing in a role like Dustin Keller did in the past with the team. Keller's speed was limited but he was making catches and moving fluidly.
