So many actors have taken a turn playing Batman, it's hard to pick a favorite.

For some it's Val Kilmer. For others Christian Bale. And one or two people probably think Ben Affleck deserves the top spot.

For Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, it's Michael Keaton -- a perfectly reasonable choice.

What's not as reasonable, however, is what Kane said when Keaton presented him with the Hart Trophy as the NHL MVP last night.

"I can honestly say that 'Batman Returns' was my favorite movie growing up," he said. "So to receive this award from Michael Keaton, the best Batman ever. Thank you very much. That's awesome." (The quote starts at the 2:27 mark)

Wait a sec. Rewind.

Batman Returns was your favorite movie growing up? Now that's a hot take.

Some could argue that 1989's Batman, Keaton's first, is a superior film. Jack Nicholson as The Joker is hard to beat, and the street parade to Prince's "Trust" is one of the iconic scenes in superhero movie history.

But it makes sense that Kane grew up watching the sequel instead of the original. After all, Kane was just an infant when the original was released.

By the time Batman Returns came around Kane was going on 4-years-old -- impressionable years when it comes to superheroes -- and Danny DeVito's Penguin coupled with Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman likely created some vivid memories.

So we'll give the MVP a pass on this one -- at least he didn't say The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was his favorite Indiana Jones movie.
