Kovalev struggling to score: The Sports Xchange reports Senators RW Alex Kovalev's goal-less drought reached 10 games after failing to score Saturday against the Bruins. He recently missed three games after the death of his mother-in-law, but his last goal came 14 games and almost a month ago for the Senators on Oct. 29 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Fantasy Analysis

The Senators were over the moon when they landed Kovalev in the offseason because they feared they were eventually going to have to trade Dany Heatley. They felt Kovalev would be able to help make up for the loss. Unfortunately, he has fallen short of expectations. He has only four goals in 21 games and 11 points. He doesn't seem to be a 80-point threat anymore, but at this rate, we are hoping he just breaks 50 points. Kovalev is a low-end Fantasy start until further notice.
