  • Sharks' Brent Burns: Contributes pair of helpers in Game 1 Win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(10:11 am ET) Burns dished out two assists and fired six shots on goal in Friday's Game 1 win over the Predators.

Fresh off a Norris Trophy nomination, Burns has started off the second round with a bang. The 31-year-old had five points in the final two games of his first-round series against the Kings and is now up to 10 points in six playoff games. Burns is an absolute weapon on the blueline and will be a key player once again in Round 2 against Nashville.

Sharks' Brent Burns: Three assists help banish Kings

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/23/16) Burns notched three assists in Friday's series-clinching Game 5 win over the Kings.

A marvelous effort from Burns, who finished the first round with two goals and eight points in five games. The 31-year-old has built off a monstrous 75-point campaign in the regular season and is a big reason why the Sharks are moving onto the second round. Logging heavy minutes and manning the point on the first power-play unit, look for Burns to be a difference maker once again in round two.

Sharks' Brent Burns: Tallies pair of power-play points Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/21/16) Burns tallied a goal and an assist on the power play while tying for the team lead with five shots in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Kings.

The risk-taking blueliner finished with a minus-1 rating, but more than recouped his value with points on two of San Jose's three goals with the man advantage. Burns' two goals, three assists and 18 shots through four games this series would make most any forward jealous.

Sharks' Brent Burns: Earns assist for points in sixth straight

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/3/16) Burns pushed his point streak to six games with an assist in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over Nashville.

Burns may have wanted a goal most of all, as the blueliner launched towards net seven times in this one. By far, this has been the 31-year-old's most productive season in his 12-year career, as he sports a massive 74-point total with three games to go. Additionally, the 2003 first-round pick's 344 shots in one shy of being 100 more than his highest total put up in a campaign. Needless to say, Burns has been one of the most valuable assets in fantasy this year and is poised to continue his strong finish.

Sharks' Brent Burns: Racks up two more points despite sloppy game

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/1/16) Burns pushed his latest point streak to five games Thursday with two assists -- one on the power play -- in a 4-2 loss to Vancouver.

It was a sloppy game all around for the Sharks, and Burns -- who was charged with four giveaways -- was no exception. Of course, it's hard to criticize the guy too much when he's sitting on 27 goals and 73 points from the blue line. Eight of those points have come over the course of his current streak.

April 1, 2015: Predators D Roman Josi is unsung hero of special season in Nashville
Roman Josi is overshadowed as part of the great story that is the Nashville Predators, but in terms of what he provides to the team versus what he is paid, he's one of the league's best bargains.
