Atletico Madrid 2-1 Real Madrid: Real cruises into Champions League final, will face Juventus
A goal from Isco late in the first half ended all doubt
It's back-to-back appearances in the Champions League final for the competition's most successful team in history. Real Madrid, 11-time champion, cruised into the UCL final by eliminating city rival Atletico Madrid on Wednesday. After winning the first leg at home 3-0 last week, Real dropped the second leg 2-1 but secured its ticket to Cardiff thanks to a goal late in the first half from Isco.
Though it ended how Real wanted, it didn't start that way. Atletico needed a 3-0 result to draw even, and it jumped out to a 2-0 lead early on.
In the 12th minute, Saul headed home from a corner to get the party started:

Then moments later Antoine Griezmann converted a penalty kick:

The comeback was almost complete, as Atleti pushed for another but tried to be cautious at the back. Real just needed one goal to force Atletico to have to score to five to move on, and Real got it. Isco scored off some Karim Benzema magic just before the break to the Los Colchoneros' hearts:

Atletico needed three goals in the second half to save its European campaign, but neither would score as Real moved on to the biggest stage in European soccer once again.
With the result, Real will play Juventus on June 3rd in Cardiff with the European crown on the line.
