A Ronaldo-less Portugal squad came from behind to beat Mexico 2-1 and claim third place at the 2017 Confederations Cup on Sunday. With Ronaldo away from the team following the birth of twins, Portugal got a goal in extra time from Pepe, with an Adrien Silva goal clinching it in extra time. 

After Neto's own goal in the second half gave Mexico the lead, Pepe poked home a cross in added time to draw level:

Then a handball in the box from Miguel Layun gave the European champs a penalty kick, and Silva made no mistake in the 104th minute, sending Guillermo Ochoa the other way:

Both teams finished with 10 men, and with the result, Mexico ends its disappointing Confederations Cup campaign in fourth place, while Portugal salvages something from the cup after the heartbreaking penalty-kick loss to Chile in the semifinals.
