Colorado State vs. Boise State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Colorado State vs. Boise State football game
Boise State is 8-0 against Colorado State since October of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Boise State Broncos will head out on the road to face off against the Colorado State Rams at 9:45 p.m. ET at Canvas Stadium. Despite being away, Boise State is looking at a 7.5-point advantage in the spread.
Boise State was not the first on the board last Saturday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against San Jose State by a score of 35-27. The victory was all the more spectacular given Boise State was down 20 points with 4:56 left in the second quarter.
Boise State got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylen Green out in front who threw for 75 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. That's the first time this season that Green punched in two or more rushing touchdowns. Boise State also got help from Eric McAlister who showed off his sure hands for 170 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, the point spread favored Colorado State last Saturday, but luck did not. They suffered a painful 44-24 loss at the hands of Utah State. Colorado State was up 17 in the first but still couldn't manage to seal the deal.
The Rams were plagued by a slow offense and finished the game with only 3.9 yards per play. They were dismantled by their opponents in that department as Utah State advanced 7.6.
Boise State's victory bumped their season record to 3-3 while Colorado State's loss dropped theirs to 2-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday' match: The Broncos have been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 181.7 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for the Rams, though, as they've been averaging only 75.8 per game.
Everything came up roses for Boise State against Colorado State when the teams last played last October as the team secured a 49-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Boise State since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
