Nicholas Singleton 2005 RB
Nicholas Singleton: Healthy ahead of NFL Draft
6h agoSingleton (foot) has been medically cleared and has resumed running, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Singleton suffered a fractured fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot while attending the Senior Bowl in late January, but he is now back to full health ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. The running back figures to be a mid-round selection in the three-day event beginning next Thursday in Pittsburgh. Singleton finished off a record-setting four-year career at Penn State in 2025, racking up 549 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 123 carries while also reeling in 24 of 34 targets for 219 yards and a score over 12 contests in his final campaign.

Paris Johnson Jr. ARI OT
Cardinals' Paris Johnson: Contract option picked up
11h agoThe Cardinals have picked up their fifth-year option on Johnson's contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Per the report, the option calls for just over $19 million for the 2027 season, though it's possible that the Cardinals and the offensive tackle could reach an agreement on an extension before then. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft finished up the 2025 regular season on IR due to a knee issue, but has since had ample time to recover, which puts Johnson on track to be healthy the next time Arizona takes the field.

De'Von Achane MIA RB
Dolphins' De'Von Achane: Shows up to voluntary wrkouts
12h agoAchane was spotted at the Dolphins' training facility Thursday for the first time since the start of the team's voluntary offseason program, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Entering the final year of his rookie contract, Achane is in the midst of negotiations toward a long-term extension. The Dolphins have shut down trade rumors, and it sounds like Achane is on board for their rebuilding project as long as he's happy with his compensation. Given his age (24) and monstrous production, Achane probably hopes to top Saquon Barkley's RB-leading totals for average annual value ($20.6 million) and fully guaranteed money ($36 million). For now, Achane will focus on learning a new playbook under new head coach Jeff Hafley and offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. On-field work doesn't start until mid-to-late May, with mandatory minicamp then scheduled for June 2-4.

Cam Ward TEN QB
Titans' Cam Ward: May throw passes at minicamp
16h agoTitans GM Mike Borgonzi said Thursday that Ward (shoulder) is on track to throw passes at voluntary minicamp next week, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Borgonzi didn't mention if Ward has resumed throwing in individual workouts. The young quarterback suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder during a Week 18 loss at Jacksonville, making an early exit from the final game of a brutal rookie season. Ward started all 17 games, but threw for just 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns in an undermanned offense with subpar coaching. Ward's setup for 2026 looks at least somewhat better, with Brian Daboll taking over the Tennessee offense (under new HC Robert Saleh) and bringing WR Wan'Dale Robinson with him from the Giants. Ward may have limitations during the offseason program, but he has plenty of time to ramp up before the start of training camp in late July.

Matthew Golden GB WR
Packers' Matthew Golden: Primed for larger role
16h agoGolden has a clear path to move up Green Bay's depth chart in the absence of Romeo Doubs (Patriots) and Dontayvion Wicks (Eagles), ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports.
Green Bay's offseason moves leave Golden, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed without serious competition for the top three spots at wide receiver, pending results of the 2026 NFL Draft. Golden went 23rd overall in last year's draft, yet didn't score his first NFL touchdown until the playoffs. He had four straight games with at least three catches and 37 yards in Weeks 3-7, before averaging just 14.0 yards on 2.6 targets over his final eight appearances of the regular season (shoulder and wrist injuries contributed to the slump). Golden then put up 4-84-1 in a playoff loss at Chicago, restoring some hope for a Year 2 breakout. If nothing else, the Packers seem to be planning a major increase in playing time.

Dexter Lawrence NYG DT
Giants' Dexter Lawrence: Contract talks stall
2d agoLawrence and the Giants have reportedly reached an impasse on talks regarding a new contract extension for the defensive tackle, per ESPN.com.
The report notes that Lawrence previously requested a trade and hasn't been present for the start of the team's initial offseason workout program. Meanwhile, as the NFL Draft approaches, the Giants are said to have engaged with other teams about a potential trade for the 2019 first rounder, who recorded 31 tackles in 17 regular-season games in 2025. That said, it's still possible the two sides could find enough common ground for Lawrence to stick around in 2026, on the heels of conversations with Lawrence's agent that GM Joe Schoen labeled "productive."

Vinnie Pasquantino KC 1B
Royals' Vinnie Pasquantino: Slaps first home run
5m agoPasquantino went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 10-9 loss against the Tigers.
Pasquantino was held hitless through his first four at-bats before breaking through in the ninth with a 412-foot solo shot off Connor Seabold to extend the lead. The homer was his first of the season and provided a small bright spot amid a difficult start to the year. The 28-year-old is now slashing just .155/.244/.239 with nine RBI and five runs scored across 82 plate appearances and will look to build on this swing moving forward.
-
Everson Pereira CHW LF
White Sox's Everson Pereira: Goes deep again
5m agoPereira went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Thursday against the Rays.
Pereira started in right field for the second time in three games since returning from the injured list. He managed his second home run in that span with a solo shot in the eighth inning, his third of the campaign. Pereira has performed well in a small sample to begin the 2026 season, though he's struck out at a 36.0 percent clip across 25 plate appearances.
-
Miguel Vargas CHW 2B
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Ends homer drought
10m agoVargas went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Thursday against the Rays.
After a strong start to the season, Vargas entered Thursday's game having collected only two hits across his last 33 at-bats. However, he showed some signs of turning things around with a solo blast in the third inning, his second of the season and first since March 30. Though Vargas is hitting only .159 across 76 plate appearances to begn the campaign, he's striking out at only an 18.4 percent clip while suffering from a BABIP of .167.
-
Salvador Perez KC C
Royals' Salvador Perez: Goes deep vs. Tigers
20m agoPerez went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Thursday's 10-9 loss to the Tigers.
Perez delivered in a big way, blasting a three-run homer in the seventh inning off Tyler Holton to extend Kansas City's lead. The blast was his third of the season and highlighted a much-needed offensive breakout. Entering Thursday, Perez was slashing .149/.208/.269 with 2 homers 2 rbi and 4:13 BB:K across 72 plate appearances, making this performance an encouraging sign for the 35-year-old catcher.

Keider Montero DET SP
Tigers' Keider Montero: Fades late in no-decision
35m agoMontero did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Royals, allowing four runs on seven hits while striking out five over six innings.
Montero looked solid early, building off his previous start where he tossed six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, but ran into trouble late. Kansas City had managed just two runs through six innings before he ran out of gas, allowing back-to-back hits, including an RBI single to Jac Caglianone, that ended his outing. Despite Thursday's line, Montero's underlying metrics remain excellent, as he ranks near the top of the league in xERA (1.20) and xwOBA (.173). He's slated to face Milwaukee in his next start Tuesday.
-
Kris Bubic KC SP
Royals' Kris Bubic: Tagged for five runs vs. Detroit
1h agoBubic allowed five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three over 4.2 innings Thursday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.
Bubic ran into trouble due to his own command issues, as he issued 3 walks and tossed two wild pitches that directly led to runs in the second and fourth innings. Aside from those mistakes, the left-hander showed effectiveness with his changeup, generating 10 swings and six whiffs, but couldn't limit damage in key moments and was forced out before completing five innings for the first time this season. Bubic now owns a 3.97 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 26:10 K:BB across 22.2 innings and will look to bounce back in his next start, slated against Baltimore on Tuesday

Grayson Allen PHO SG
Suns' Grayson Allen: Game-time call for Friday
6h agoAllen (hamstring) is questionable for Friday's Play-In Tournament game against the Warriors.
Allen is in danger of missing a third straight matchup while dealing with hamstring soreness. He'll likely test the injury in shootaround and warmups to see if he can suit up for Friday's clash.
-
Mark Williams PHO C
Suns' Mark Williams: Tagged questionable for Friday
6h agoWilliams is questionable for Friday's Play-In Tournament game against the Warriors due to left foot soreness.
It's unclear if this is a new injury for Williams, who was held out of the regular-season finale due to foot injury maintenance and was then cleared to play in Tuesday's game against the Trail Blazers. The Suns should have another update on the big man's status closer to tipoff. Oso Ighodaro would draw the start at center if Williams can't go.
-
Quinten Post GS C
Warriors' Quinten Post: Ruled out for Friday
6h agoPost (foot) is out for Friday's Play-In Tournament game against the Suns.
Post is in line for a ninth consecutive absence while on the mend from a right foot injury. If the Warriors are able to emerge victorious Friday, his next opportunity to take the court would arrive in Game 1 of the first round against Oklahoma City on Sunday.
-
Kristaps Porzingis GS C
Warriors' Kristaps Porzingis: Listed questionable for Friday
6h agoPorzingis is questionable for Friday's Play-In Tournament game against the Suns due to right ankle soreness.
Anthony Slater of ESPN.com notes that Porzingis appeared to be favoring his ankle after Wednesday's win over the Clippers, so he seemingly picked up the injury at some point during the matchup. He'll presumably test the ankle during shootaround and warmups to see if he can take the court for Friday's must-win game.
-
Moussa Diabate CHA PF
Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Added to injury report
9h agoDiabate is questionable for Friday's Play-In Tournament game against the Magic due to left hip soreness.
It's not clear as to when Diabate picked up this injury, as he logged 36 minutes during Tuesday's overtime win over the Heat. The team will presumably monitor the injury closely leading up to tipoff and should have more information to share on his availability closer to game time.
-
Jonathan Isaac ORL PF
Magic's Jonathan Isaac: Questionable for Friday
9h agoIsaac (knee) is questionable for Friday's Play-In Tournament game against the Hornets.
Isaac has missed over a month now due to a left knee sprain, but the Magic are leaving the door open for the forward to return in a must-win game Friday. If Isaac is ultimately deemed unable to play, Orlando would need Tristan da Silva and Jamal Cain to help fill out more playing time in the frontcourt.

Valeri Nichushkin COL RW
Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Dishes two assists in win
5m agoNichushkin recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Nichushkin had gone four contests without a point prior to Thursday. The 31-year-old will likely fill a top-six role during the playoffs, though he probably won't be a leader on offense. He concludes the regular season with 49 points, 160 shots on net, 55 hits and a plus-9 rating across 72 appearances.
-
Nick Blankenburg COL D
Avalanche's Nick Blankenburg: Nets game-winner Thursday
7m agoBlankenburg scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Blankenburg has two goals over his last four games. For the regular season, he ends with eight goals, 24 points, 72 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 55 hits and a minus-10 rating over 61 appearances between the Avalanche and the Predators. Blankenburg will likely get a chance to play as long as Josh Manson (upper body) is out.
-
Parker Kelly COL LW
Avalanche's Parker Kelly: Pots insurance goal
9m agoKelly scored a goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Kelly snapped a five-game drought with this tally. The 26-year-old ends the regular season with a career-best campaign to his name after putting up 21 goals, 35 points, 104 shots on net, 177 hits, 58 blocked shots and a plus-18 rating. He'll be an integral part of the Avalanche's forward depth during the postseason.
-
Scott Wedgewood COL G
Avalanche's Scott Wedgewood: Shuts out Seattle
10m agoWedgewood posted a 22-save shutout in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Kraken.
Wedgewood was excellent to close out the season, allowing no more than two goals in any of his last eight appearances. He was a little unlucky to go 6-1-1 in that span. Wedgewood ends the regular season at 31-6-6 with four shutouts, a 2.02 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 45 appearances. Wedgewood led the league in GAA and save percentage among goalies to appear in at least 20 games, and his performance, alongside strong work by teammate Mackenzie Blackwood, was enough for the Avalanche's duo to take home the Jennings Trophy for the fewest goals allowed as a team (197). The Avalanche allowed 25 fewer goals than the next closest team, the Stars.
-
Victor Ostman SEA G
Kraken's Victor Ostman: Shows well in first start
16m agoOstman stopped 33 of 35 shots in Thursday's 2-0 loss to the Avalanche.
He didn't face the full brunt of Colorado's attack, as the hosts rested a few players. Ostman still faced plenty of pressure, but he put forth a good effort. The Kraken lost because they couldn't solve opposing goalie Scott Wedgewood. With the Kraken's season over, expect Ostman and Niklas Kokko to be reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley in the coming days.
-
Quinton Byfield LA C
Kings' Quinton Byfield: Tallies lone goal in loss
18m agoByfield scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 3-1 loss to the Flames.
Byfield's goal gave him five points over the last three games of the regular season. He also set a career high with his 24th tally of the year, though he was unable to reach 50 points for a third straight campaign. The 23-year-old ends the regular season at 49 points, 180 shots on net, 66 hits, 44 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 79 appearances. Byfield has already started to take on significant minutes, a sign that he could be the heir apparent to the top-line center job that the retiring Anze Kopitar will vacate at the end of the Kings' playoff run.
