Falcons promote RB Jerome Smith, waive LB James Anderson

The Falcons promoted running back Jerome Smith to the active roster and waived linebacker James Anderson, reports the National Football Post. Smith is a 6-foot, 226-pounder out of Syracuse who could be active Sunday if running back Steven Jackson (quad) can't play against the Panthers.
