Vikings vs. Buccaneers Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Vikings vs. Buccaneers football game
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will hit the road to start their 2023-2024 campaign against the Minnesota Vikings. Kickoff is scheduled at 1:00 p.m. ET on September 10th at U.S. Bank Stadium.
A big factor in this game might be passing yards, as these two were some of the best in the league in that department last year. The Buccaneers were ranked sixth overall in passing yards last season, having averaged 279.2 per game. The Vikings did even better, as they were ranked second with an average of 283.4 per game.
Looking back to last season, Tampa Bay finished on the wrong side of .500 (8-9), but they'll be hoping to turn things around this year. On the other hand, the Vikings had a phenomenal run, finishing with a superb 13-4 record.
The Buccaneers will be fighting an uphill battle on Sunday as the experts have pegged them as the 6-point underdog. They finished last season with a mediocre 4-14 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Tampa Bay considering the team didn't win a single game as the underdog last year. While their fans probably aren't happy about it, betting on the team to lose was the smart play last year, and bettors who put $100 on that outcome every game finished the season up $1,740.57. The Vikings will open their season as the favorite, and the team was 12-0 as such last season.
