  • Joshua Onujiogu: Not tendered by Seattle

The Seahawks didn't tender Onujiogu (undisclosed) by Wednesday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Onujiogu missed the entirety of Seattle's 2024 campaign after being placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed issue in early August. However, it now appears he's had enough time to move past the injury. The Framingham State product last appeared in an NFL game with the Seahawks in 2022, recording three total tackles across 17 total snaps (11 defensive and six on special teams).

  • Seahawks' Joshua Onujiogu: Returning to Seattle

The Seahawks re-signed Onujiogu (elbow) to an exclusive rights contract Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Onujiogu missed the entire 2023 campaign due to a tendon issue in his elbow. He suited up for one game as an undrafted rookie in 2022. Now presumably back to full health, Onujiogu gets a chance to further his development with Seattle over the offseason, and to hopefully compete for a depth roster spot.

  • Seahawks' Joshua Onujiogu: Moved to IR

Onujiogu (elbow) has reverted to the Seahawks' injured reserve, per the NFL's transaction log. According to John Boyle of the Seahawks' official website, Onujiogu has a tendon issue in his elbow and the team is determining how to go about it. Surgery is an option but may not be neccesary. As a result, the weakside linebacker is now in line to miss the entire 2023 season unless he works out an injury settlement with the team.

  • Joshua Onujiogu: Gets cut loose

Onujiogu (elbow) was waived by the Seahawks with an injury designation Wednesday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Onujiogu was likely facing an uphill battle to make the team out of camp, but he definitely won't now. The 25-year-old will revert to injured reserve if he can clear waivers and will miss the 2023 campaign unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.
