Sevilla vs. Dortmund score: Erling Haaland double leads BVB Champions League comeback
Spain's form side host Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16

Borussia Dortmund are slight favorites to advance to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after a 3-2 win away at Sevilla in the first leg of their round of 16 tie on Wednesday.
The Spaniards were the form team coming into the clash and took the lead after just seven minutes when Suso's effort was deflected past Marwin Hitz by Mats Hummels.
However, the Germans did not buckle under the pressure of their struggles on the road and recent patchy form with Mahmoud Dahoud pulling them level in spectacular fashion 12 minutes later after being teed up by Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian sensation did not have to wait long to get in on the act when he finished after a delightful combination with Jadon Sancho on 27 minutes.
Two minutes before half-time, Haaland had his second after sweeping home from a Marco Reus assist to give Edin Terzic's men a 3-1 half-time lead.

It could have been worse for Sevilla too, had goalkeeper Bono not been sharp enough to keep Haaland out or had referee Danny Makkelie opted to award BVB a penalty as Julen Lopetegui's UEFA Europa League champions took a first half pounding.
The home side came back into it in the second half as Dortmund grew sloppy, but the German Bundesliga side were able to sit on their lead from their first half blitz for most of the second 45.
Sevilla did hit the woodwork with a late free kick, but Hitz was fortunate enough to deflect the ball clear of danger as Lopetegui's changes only bore fruit six minutes from time when substitute Luuk de Jong scored from an Oscar Rodriguez set piece delivery.
It was nervy towards the end, but a big win for Dortmund & Haaland has put them in the driving seat to reach the quarterfinals.
Imagine if Sevilla had shown a scintilla of their late intensity before the final five minutes. They might not have been relying on a late VAR call to save them in what was a game where they really frittered away a great position.
These two substitutes - Rodriguez and De Jong - have added plenty of purpose to this team and they combine brilliantly for that goal. Sometimes it's not the worst idea to put the ball in the box, you know.
