Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is set for Saturday night in Las Vegas
The most famed weekend on the boxing calendar is upon us. The unofficial Super Bowl of boxing is set to take place this weekend in Las Vegas when lineal middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez collides with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. with nothing but pride on the line.
Well, that and a lot of money.
The two have publicly beefed in the buildup to this battle with Alvarez calling Chavez a "little kid" for his actions over the past few years. All of it has the making of one great fight and an important one for fight fans.
The card, hosted by Golden Boy Promotions, is set to begin on Saturday, May 6, at 9 p.m. ET from Las Vegas.
