Santa Barbara coach Bob Williams will not return for a 20th season at the Big West school, a source told CBS Sports on Thursday.
A formal announcement is expected later this month.
The Gauchos finished 6-22 overall this season, 4-12 in the Big West, and missed the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight year. Williams, whose contract is set to expire in August, guided UC Santa Barbara to three NCAA Tournaments (2002, ‘10 and ‘11) in 19 seasons. He won Big West Coach of the Year honors in 1999, 2003 and ‘10.
