The school is hooking up Jackson Logsdon with books and meals for two years
The Louisville student who missed out on $38,000 thanks to a technicality in a competition he won last week is getting a nice consolation prize from the school. According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, Jackson Logsdon, the winner of a contest in which he made a layup, a free throw, a 3-pointer and a half-court shot, will be provided two years of books and meals.

Logsdon, who was made aware before the competition about the eligibility requirements, signed a waiver before participating that indicated he had not played basketball in the last six years. However, he played in high school, which is the reason he was ruled ineligible.
“That’s pretty awesome on their part because again, they’re not obligated to do anything like that but they realize how cool the situation and the shots were,” Logsdon told the Courier-Journal. “They, out of the kindness of their hearts, decided to not to send me home empty-handed.”
