North Carolina’s Justin Jackson will forgo senior year and enter 2017 NBA Draft
The ACC Player of the Year is a projected top-20 pick
North Carolina wing Justin Jackson, a second team CBS Sports All-American this season, announced Thursday that he will sign with an agent and enter the NBA Draft.
So his college career is over.
"I thank God, my coaches and teammates and the University of North Carolina for giving me this extraordinary opportunity," Jackson said. "My family and I discussed my decision with Coach [Roy] Williams and we agree that declaring for the NBA Draft is best for my career. I wouldn't trade anything the last three years as a Tar Heel -- especially getting the chance to win a national championship."
Jackson averaged a team-high 18.3 points and 4.7 rebounds this season while making a school-record 105 3-pointers. He led the Tar Heels to the 2017 ACC regular-season title and the 2017 NCAA Tournament title. He's projected by most to be a top-20 pick in June's NBA Draft.
