The first weekend of college football is in the books and now we have the first set of reactions from the coaches voting in this year's Coaches Poll. Alabama, to the surprise of no one, remained at No. 1 with 62 of 64 first-place votes. Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State and Stanford round out the top five.

Oklahoma's loss dropped the Sooners from No. 3 to No. 13, but the most significant drop was LSU's slide from No. 6 to No. 22. Wisconsin, after defeating the Tigers and getting to leap in Lambeau, moved from "Others Receiving Votes" into the Coaches Poll proper at No. 16.

While Oklahoma, LSU and Notre Dame all stumbled out of the gate, it was a fantastic weekend for the Lone Star State. Houston jumped up to No. 7, Texas made its first appearance in the Coaches Poll since September 2014 at No. 20 after beating Notre Dame, and Texas A&M checked in at No. 24 after beating UCLA in overtime.
