D'Onta Foreman breaks Earl Campbell's record with 12 straight 100-yard games
Foreman may go down as one of the best running backs to ever go through Texas
Texas' history of great running backs has a new record holder.
To no one's surprise, D'Onta Foreman recorded his 12th straight 100-yard rushing game against Kansas on Saturday. That breaks the record of 11 straight games of 100 yards previously held by Longhorns' great Earl Campbell. Foreman broke the record during the third quarter against the Jayhawks.
Foreman tied Campbell's record against West Virginia. During the game, Campbell was on hand to congratulate Foreman.
Foreman has started to get some Heisman consideration for his standout play this season, but an invitation to New York could be a long shot depending on the voting numbers for guys like Oklahoma wideout Dede Westbrook. Still, Foreman led all FBS rushers in yards per game coming into Saturday and he's been a bright spot in a frustrating season for the Longhorns.
