FAU postpones game against Charlotte due to Hurricane Matthew
The Conference USA game has been scheduled for Sun. Oct. 9 for now
If you're like me, and you've been waiting patiently for this week's Bottom 25 Game of the Century of the Week, you're going to have to wait at least one more day.
FAU announced on Thursday that this Saturday's game against Charlotte has been postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who is in the path of Hurricane Matthew," said Pat Chun, vice president and director of athletics. "Supporting our community, state and region is the current focus of FAU Athletics. We thank our friends at Charlotte for their understanding and assistance."
For now the game has only been pushed back a day, and is scheduled for Sunday Oct. 9, but that could change as well depending on how long it takes the storm to pass through the area, and how much damage it may or may not cause.
