Cardinals' Sam Tuivailala: Gets called up

Tuivailala was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Friday.

With Kevin Siegrist (illness) landing on the DL, the Cardinals were in need of another relief man and Tuivailala got the call. The 23-year-old Tuivailala briefly appeared in the majors for the Red Birds in 2015, producing a 3.07 ERA over 14.2 innings, but has struggled with Triple-A Memphis this season to the tune of a 5.06 ERA over 32 innings. He figures to provide bullpen depth until Siegrist returns from the DL.
