Dodgers' Brandon McCarthy: Game postponed Sunday

McCarthy (shoulder) will not make his scheduled start Sunday against the Padres as the game has been postponed due to rain, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

The makeup game will be played as a doubleheader in San Diego on Sept. 2. Following Sunday's postponement, manager Dave Roberts said that the team is considering skipping McCarthy's start in the rotation this week, David Vassegh of AM 570 Los Angeles reports. We'll have to wait for official confirmation from the Dodgers.
