Cousins scored 56 points (21-30 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 13-16 FT) to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal in 46 minutes during the Kings' 129-128 double overtime loss to the Hornets on Monday.
Cousins committed seven turnovers, fouled out in the second overtime session, and was forced to watch his Kings lose in the closing seconds. However, he posted a career-high 56 points that's also the NBA's season-high mark for scoring in the 2015-16 season. Further, Cousins notched his 11th straight double-double, and he continues to post out-of-this-world stats in January.
