Pacers coach Nate McMillan said Saturday that Turner (concussion) is "getting better," but still remains in the NBA's concussion protocol.
Turner passed the first stage of the protocol Friday, but still needs to clear a few more steps before he's allowed to practice with the team. With almost four weeks until the start of the regular season, Turner seems more likely than not to recover by that time. McMillan has already announced that Turner will start at center this season, so the second-year big man could be in line for a breakout campaign if he's able to claim around 28-to-32 minutes per game.
