Freeman has been suspended four games for a violation of the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.
Freeman's ban comes down one week after Alshon Jeffery was cited for the same reason. Among the top 5 in the NFL with 91 tackles, Freeman has reached double-digit stops in four of 10 games this season, while adding three passes defended and one forced fumble. With Freeman sidelined, Nick Kwiatkoski will likely fill in for the five-year veteran at inside linebacker.
