She gets better with age
Tennis is supposed to be a young woman's game (in relative terms), yet Serena Williams continues to defy the odds.
In 2013, Serena, then 31, became the oldest women's tennis player to be ranked No. 1 since the computer rankings began in 1975. Now 33, Serena Williams has become more and more dominant as time marches on.

She's the Grand Slam queen
In her career, Serena Williams has won the fifth-most Grand Slam titles with 36. Her 21 individual majors place her only one behind Steffi Graf's Open-era record. Serena and her sister Venus Williams also are an undefeated 13-0 in Grand Slam doubles championship matches.

There's a Slam named after her

Her sister is pretty good, too
Fifteen months older than Serena, Venus Williams is a teammate and opponent to her sister on the tennis court. The sisters have won three Olympic gold medals together along with 13 grand slam tournaments. Serena leads the sisterly head-to-head series 15 to 11.
