President Trump plays golf with Japan's prime minister using a golden driver
President Trump's driver is exquisite
I thought Bubba Watson set the standard for crazy-colored drivers when he unveiled his pink Ping model a few years ago, but President Donald Trump may have usurped Watson this week.
Trump, who played with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Florida over the weekend, used a gold driver given to him by Abe back in November.
A gold driver! Look at this thing.
The WH barred reporters from covering Trump's golf outing yesterday, but @playbookplus managed to get some photos. https://t.co/k9FOAtnQ8Ypic.twitter.com/AUZOB04wG3

The Honma Golf driver (which reportedly retails for nearly $3,800) is made in Japan, and its website explains why the clubs are so pricey.
HONMA is dedicated to producing the most beautiful, playable golf clubs in the world using cutting-edge, hand-crafted precision manufacturing techniques while incorporating only the very best materials available. This approach has defined the history of HONMA and is the reason HONMA golf equipment is the world's most expensive.
Trump has been known to be a pretty good driver of the golf ball so maybe this is his secret weapon. When Tiger Woods played with him in December, the 14-time major winner came away impressed.
"What most impressed me was how far he hits the ball at 70 years old," Woods wrote on his website. "He takes a pretty good lash."
Trump and Abe apparently played with Ernie Els in Florida after Els withdrew from the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with a neck injury.
