Tiger Woods calls himself a 'punk,' thanks Nike for signing him
Nike signed Tiger Woods when he was 20, which means Big Cat has been with the Swoosh for half of his life.

In lieu of playing in The Players Championship this week, Tiger Woods is reading books and offering literary reviews on social media. Or something like that.
Woods on Thursday tweeted out his thoughts on Phil Knight's new read on the history of Nike. Woods, of course, was signed by Nike as a 20-year-old when he first turned pro, and he's never strayed for another wardrobe company.
What a great read. The lows, the tragedy & the will & belief to create something thats never been done. Much Respect pic.twitter.com/KhytVQEeZo

Tiger called himself "a little punk kid who had done nothing at the professional level" and thanked Knight for taking a chance on him in another tweet.
Woods was wearing Nike even before he turned pro. Here's a look at some photos of Big Cat rocking the Swoosh in the 1994 U.S. Amateur at TPC Sawgrass (where Woods won as a pro in 2001 and 2014).
