Specifically, this call for temperance was inspired by the seemingly endless procession of novelty, one-off minor-league "theme" jerseys that are presently with us -- too much with us, some would say.

Baseball trend of note, thou hast been resuced from banality. Those are outstanding -- in part because they look tremendous (give me a battalion of those hats, please) and in part because tacos are delicious.
