MLB Postseason 2016: Red Sox-Indians ALDS Game 2 lineups
Both teams have changed things up, slightly
On Thursday evening, the Cleveland Indians defended home-field advantage in Game 1 of the ALDS by edging the Boston Red Sox. Credit manager Terry Francona's creative, aggressive bullpen management.
The Indians will attempt to move within a game of the ALCS on Friday afternoon, as they again play host to the Red Sox. Here's how you can watch and here are the starting lineups.
Boston Red Sox
- 2B Dustin Pedroia
- 3B Brock Holt
- RF Mookie Betts
- DH David Ortiz
- 1B Hanley Ramirez
- SS Xander Bogaerts
- LF Andrew Benintendi
- C Sandy Leon
- CF Jackie Bradley Jr.
LHP David Price
Cleveland Indians
- CF Rajai Davis
- 2B Jason Kipnis
- SS Francisco Lindor
- 1B Mike Napoli
- DH Carlos Santana
- 3B Jose Ramirez
- LF Brandon Guyer
- RF Lonnie Chisenhall
- C Roberto Perez
RHP Corey Kluber
Each team tweaked their lineup slightly -- in Cleveland's case because it's facing a left-handed pitcher now, as opposed to a right-hander in Game 1. The Red Sox' change, meanwhile, is cosmetic in nature.

On the Red Sox' side, the only change is a swap -- moving Bradley Jr. to the bottom of the order and Benintendi to the seven slot. Benintendi had a big Game 1, and John Farrell appears to want him getting more opportunities in Game 2 -- albeit only slightly more opportunities.
Cleveland's most notable alterations from Game 1 are inserting Rajai Davis at the top of the lineup and Brandon Guyer in place of Coco Crisp. Carlos Santana has been dropped to the fifth spot.
