Here's your heart-warming scene of the night.

A fan attended Monday night's Rangers-Indians game with a sign that requested two things from Mike Napoli: 1) a home run, and 2) a hug. The occasion? The fan's first chemotherapy session on Tuesday. Napoli was kind enough to fulfill both requests:

Lines like, "this is why we love baseball" are overused, yet this is absolutely why we love baseball. Sure, the home run was probably a coincidence. But if it made the fan in question feel better about her situation, then who cares? Sports are entertainment, and often a way for us to escape from our real-world problems.

Napoli's act likely helped a fan who needed that distraction. What more could you ask for?
