| Fantasy Analysis |
| Blanks started 2011 in the minors as he was coming back from elbow surgery. But he tore up the minors and finally got recalled. While Blanks still showed great power, he hit just .229 in 55 games and struck out 51 times with San Diego. Blanks is only 25 years old, but he still has some holes in his swing. He appears to be an all-or-nothing hitter. If he ever puts it all together, then he could be a very productive hitter. But it's best to view Blanks as a late-round Fantasy option in deep formats, if he lands a starting spot with San Diego. (Updated 01/15/2012). |
