| Tazawa sent down by BoSox: Boston shortstop Jose Iglesias has been recalled by the Red Sox as he joined teammates in the locker room prior to Tuesday's game against Oakland. Iglesias was hitting .200 down at Triple-A Pawtucket over 85 at-bats. The Red Sox optioned reliever Junichi Tazawa down to Triple-A in the corresponding roster move. (Updated 05/01/2012) |

| The Red Sox chose to call up a middle infielder for a reliever, though Tazawa wasn't so bad while up with Boston. He made five appearances and had not allowed a run on five hits over 6 1/3 innings with four strikeouts and one save. Still, back in the minors, Tazawa has low-end Fantasy value.
