Nationals left fielder Tyler Moore went 3 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI in Saturday's win over the Giants.

Moore entered the game hitting just .250 with four hits over his last five games.

Nationals' Tyler Moore collects fourth home run of the season

Tyler Moore, who entered Friday's game as a defensive replacement for the Nationals, connected for his fourth home run of the season in the 8-4 loss to the Brewers. Moore's solo shot came in the seventh inning and it was his only hit of the game. 

Moore has four hits in nine games this month.

Moore likely to start at 1B for Nationals with Zimmerman on DL

With Ryan Zimmerman going on the disabled list Thursday due to a foot injury, Tyler Moore will likely take over as the starting first baseman for the Nationals while Zimmerman is sidelined, according to MLB.com.

Moore is the only other player to start at first base for Washington this season. Zimmerman has a team-high 56 starts at first base and Moore has three starts.

Moore is batting .181 on the season, including a .136 mark in eight June games (five starts).

Both of Zimmerman's rests have come in the last six games. He's replaced at first by Tyler Moore

Moore will bat seventh in the lineup.

Tyler Moore drives in two in Nationals' loss

Nationals first baseman Tyler Moore drove in two of the team's three runs and scored the third in Tuesday's loss to Toronto. 

Moore went 1 for 3 with a double, his third. Moore now has 10 RBI on the year. 

"Skip’s talking about us being more aggressive, and I kind of took that and wanted to kind of implement that in the game," Moore said, per the Washington Post. "Wanted to be more aggressive all day today. I felt really good at the plate. Felt a lot better."
