| Paredes doing poorly in minors: Astros third baseman Jimmy Paredes is not giving the front office much reason to consider bringing him back to the majors thanks to a slow start at Triple-A Oklahoma City. Paredes, who lost his starting job to Chris Johnson this spring, is batting just .206 (7 for 34) with no extra-base hits and one RBI in 10 games. He also has eight strikeouts. (Updated 04/16/2012) |

| Paredes better be ready for the long haul at Triple-A if he keeps at this pace. It's not like he has a chance for a quick recall since Johnson is off to a nice start. But Paredes made a nice impact when he was in the majors last year. His poor spring and poor start in the minors is erasing all those memories. There's no need to hold onto Paredes in Fantasy.
