32 Adam Dunn, 1B

White Sox designated hitter Adam Dunn has heated up over the last few days, leading Fantasy owners to flock to his page and consider adding him. Dunn is near the top of the most-viewed players page as of Wednesday night, after hitting his third home run in two days.

Dunn can be a streaky home-run hitter, but Fantasy owners haven't been staying away from him because of his power this season; it is because he can single-handedly kill your team batting average. He raised his average 19 points Wednesday, all the way to .156. 

Frankly, if you couldn't stomach Dunn's batting sub-Mendoza line batting average before his two-day outburst, there is little reason to think you will be able to moving forward. He is who he is at this point. 

White Sox first baseman Adam Dunn homered twice more and is up to nine this season after Wednesday's game in Minnesota. Dunn went deep for a two-run shot in the third inning and added another in the eighth. 

Dunn went 3 for 4 in the game and added an RBI double in the fifth inning to drive in five runs total. He added a walk as he reached base four times. Even with his monster performance Wednesday, Dunn is still batting just .156. 

The 33-year-old has homered three times in his last two games, however, with six RBI. He's up to nine homers and 18 RBI this year.

He has been hitless in his last three games. Dunn struck out three times Saturday and has done so at least once in his last nine games played. He's hitting .121 (4 for 33) with 15 strikeouts over that span.

"A day to have a breather is good, you get Casper in there," Manager Robin Ventura told ESPN. "A lot of the guys, you get to a point where everybody wants to do a lot more than they need to do instead of making it simple. It's just one of those where you give him a day to not have to think about that"

Dunn, who served as the first baseman, has now whiffed at least once in each of the past nine games (15 total) as his batting average has dropped to .137 on the season.

The White Sox are playing the Mets, and are unable to fill their DH spot. Dunn will bat fourth and play first in place of Paul Konerko. Dunn will face the tough Matt Harvey during the start.
